L'Appeso is a delicate reverie on surrender and transformation, suspended between earth and sky. Like a fruit hanging from a tree, the song invites us to embrace the upside-down perspective, where letting go becomes an act of courage. Sung softly in Italian over minimalist instrumentation, the piece traces the intimate journey of the Hanged Man tarot card: releasing the ego, entering the universal waters, and becoming a vessel for something greater. Between knowing and unknowing, between the body and the soul, the suspended one waits—not in despair, but in quiet receptivity, listening to the whispers of olive, oak, and sage. This is music for the imaginal space, where sacrifice blooms into offering, and stillness reveals the unexpected.

Un frutto pende
Nel mio giardino
Sembra attendere di essere colto
Si rende bello
Maturo
Il suo destino è di ottenere un morso
Di farsi dono
Figlio dei rami
Di darsi in pasto a chi gli ha fatto un torto
E un po' più su
Un edera mi tiene
A testa in giù
Appeso
Qui mi sento sostenuto in bilico
Tra il corpo e l'anima
Tra la terra e il cielo
Tra il sapere dove andare
E il lasciarsi trasportare qua
Arreso
Perché temporeggio e aspetto
di vedere l'inatteso
L'olivo mi parla
Il pino mi parla
Il faggio
Il tasso
Il timo
Mi parla
[E un po' più su
Un edera mi tiene£
A testa in giù
Tra la terra e il cielo
Qui mi sento sostenuto in bilico]
Appeso ascolto
La quercia
La palma
L'acacia
La salvia
L'ortica
Ascolto
L'appeso
A fruit hangs
In my garden
It seems to wait to be picked
It makes itself beautiful
Ripe
Its destiny is to receive a bite
To make itself a gift
Son of the branches
To give itself as food to those who wronged it
And a bit higher up
An ivy holds me
Upside down
Hanging
Here I feel sustained in balance
Between body and soul
Between earth and sky
Between knowing where to go
And letting myself be carried here
Surrendered
Because I'm stalling and waiting
to see the unexpected
The olive tree speaks to me
The pine speaks to me
The beech
The yew
The thyme
Speaks to me
[And a bit higher up
An ivy holds me
Upside down
Between earth and sky
Here I feel sustained in balance]
Hanging I listen
The oak
The palm
The acacia
The sage
The nettle
I listen
The hanged one
